Here we're going to talk you through what we would say is the best kept home pet, THE CICHLID (Latin name Cichlidae). We will be your easy guide too keeping and caring for your cichlid whether you are a novice OR a more experienced keeper, there's something for everyone, From Asian, south & Central American to all breeds of African cichlids including Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Malawi. The site contains many images and write ups that are not only useful but they are designed to help you and your home aquarium get off to a flying start as for most hobbyist a fully functioning part of the great African rift valley in their front room is ideal.

 Amongst the left hand side panel you will see many options & pages; each page is designed to be simple and easy t use. From species to an online shop you can navigate the site nice and easy and you can learn along the way.

The blog is a type of diary kept online by Mr Cichlids, with news on what's been happening in our tanks and what's new and local to you so be sure to be kept up to date to clicking the RSS feed.

The species section is for those who are interested in learning all about their favourite cichlid there are various species so we have kept the pages quite mixed so there's something for everyone. Once clicked on the images you will find common names and much more info to suit your needs. Which brings us to the public gallery you can send in your images and we will happily label them as yours with a link to your site or page including FACEBOOK pages, and make sure you do pop into the forum and say hi to all the other home aquarists there are no rules regarding what you talk about providing its kept clean.
